  • The Problem

Duke Student Affairs needed a new, flexible website that appealed to incoming and current students, parents, and alumni.

  • The Objective

We were tasked with designing a website that captured the youthful, joyful nature of being a student at Duke University.

  • Our Strategy

We created a new website that featured collaborative moments between students to convey the sense of community at Duke. We implemented updated branding to bring a vibrant look and feel and developed custom widgets used to build the site make it easy for internal teams to customize and expand.

An Energetic and Inclusive Brand

The new brand follows standards but pushes the boundaries to create a visually stunning experience that is uniquely Student Affairs. The Duke Student Affairs brand is an image that sticks with students, staff, parents and alumni – so we took the time to define it thoughtfully and early on in the process.

A Better Online Experience

Forming a good impression and providing a better user experience was a top priority. Engagement, stickiness, time on site, and web traffic are all up while bounce rates and negative reviews are all down. That means being ADA compliant, having a better mobile experience, enabling more user-centered content, and thoughtful navigation.
